The agreement will primarily see Premier Men’s and Women’s 1st and 2nd XI matches live streamed but the system can be used for any Kookaburra Victorian Premier Cricket match.
The streaming service provides live and on-demand viewing options, as well as automated score graphics, sponsor integrations and highlights.
Cricket Victoria Competitions Manager Darren Anderson said the FrogBox product would connect more audiences with local cricket.
“We’re pleased to be working with InteractSport and bringing Premier Cricket matches to wherever people are watching – whether that’s at home or on the move,” Anderson said.
“The FrogBox solution is currently used in all states and territories around Australia and we’re pleased to be able to offer this technical solution to our Premier clubs. It continues to build the profile and accessibility of the competition as well as providing analytical and coaching benefits for our clubs and umpires”.
InteractSport’s Head of Global Partnerships Tim Anderson stressed the need for sporting organisations to think digitally in order to future-proof their product.
“Digital technology shapes so many aspects of our lives, and none more so than in sport. We’re here to support sports organisations and clubs to embrace the possibilities a digital-first approach offers.”
"Cricket Victoria and its clubs have done this by recognising the value of live streaming Premier Cricket and we are excited about taking this journey with InteractSport over the next two years,” Anderson said.
Kookaburra Victorian Premier Cricket live streams, as well as fixtures, ladders, statistics and highlights, will be available to view on the Match Centre.
